In this new era of cannabis post prohibition, it's the wild wild west of growing, licensing and medical programs.

How well do you know you employer? Some say find a good job, others say find a good boss.
The absolute novelty of the cannabis job market presents a great deal of volatility when it comes to job security. -- Kent Gruetzmacher
Don't be Afraid to Ask Tough Questions and Get Answers
The new #cannabis industry can lead an eager candidate to ignore red flags during an interview and the 30 day probationary period. Who would think marijuana is legal in Maryland? Yay!!! Dispensaries would be stock with flower ready for patients to buy? It's like you knew this was coming but, now that it's here it still seems unbelievable. This newness, even disbelief and eagerness to join the now legal cannabis job market has resulted in many taking the wrong job for the right reasons.
So even though you may feel odd vetting your employer. Ask those questions and get those answers. The only way you can make an informed decision is to have the pertinent information.
Talk with Other Employees
This may not be possible in a start up, since you may be one of the only employees for some time. What's the turnover been like? Why did the last employee leave? These questions, among others may help you to understand the environment and overall morale of the team.
Funding Funding Funding
Did I mention finding out about funding? If there is one question to ask make it this one.
